You agree to the privacy policy below, and the Privacy Policy for Substack, the technology provider.

Substack has it’s own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for all users but I wanted to add a little more detail about what happens to your data over here at The Prompt.

I strive to collect as little personal information as possible and be transparent about what is collected and why. See the privacy policy on my website, Courage Everywhere, hosted on Squarespace to demonstrate my efforts.

As a subscriber to The Prompt, your name email address and the date you subscribed are stored in my Substack dashboard. Occasionally, I export and download this information in a CSV format which I store in an encrypted Proton Drive.

One of the benefits of this is that if Substack does something wild and out of whack with my values, I can switch seamlessly to another platform and take subscriber information with me so you never miss a Prompt!

The CSV file contains information about the country you subscribed from, how often an email has been opened, shared etc. and how you came to The Prompt eg. via LinkedIn or the Substack app. It is very cool for me to see that I have subscribers from 19 countries (!) but the rest of the information I do not consider necessary at this stage and I delete it from the CSV file before storing it so I only keep your name, email and country.

If you unsubscribe, I will delete all information.

And here is some of the more generic privacy policy info that I have copied from my Courage Everywhere privacy policy:
